Artwork at Casa Corti

07/09/2017

The works of art of economic value that once adorned the premises are no longer present in the Villa. Nevertheless, artefacts and reproductions of symbolic and cultural value, collected over time by the writer, are still present in the house. On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of Maria Corti's birth, we asked Andrea Spiriti, professor at the University of Insubria, to tell us about these objects. What emerges is the image of a dwelling that continues the tradition of opening the Intelvi valley to Europe. It is the collection of a literary critic who, in order to welcome illustrious people, combines private and public functions for her house and her works.
